This lithium-ion rechargeable battery is a replacement for the Canon BP-315 battery. Note that the BP-315 battery will work with camcorders that use the BP-308 battery, with the BP-315 having double the power of the BP-308. Synergy Digital batteries feature lithium-Ion or Nickel Metal Hydride technology, which ensures maximum battery life and maximum power. Lithium and NiMH batteries are lightweight and can be charged or discharged at any time without developing the so called "memory effect". I received the two BP-315 batteries the next day and they work perfect in my camera. It lasts longer than the original one.

I purchased four of the 1700 mAh New Equivalent BP315 BP-315 batteries for my HV10 camcorder. One of the batteries would not charge at all, the other lasted <5 minutes twice after being charged for 24 hours. The other two appear to last at least for 30 minutes for camcorder recordings -- their real duration will be determined ove this next week. Obviously, bad quality control.
