 Built like all Sirius adapters included in your vehicle kit. Jan 18, 2011

Works fine. The problem is the light duty cord Sirius uses. The cord breaks where it enters the adapter body. This is accelerated by the dingle berry hanging on the cord bouncing up and down all day long. My original lasted about a month. I turned the cord toward the adapter body and taped the plastic cylinder (the dingle berry)to it. I also wrapped the cord around the body a few times and taped it up to. This keeps it from wiggling around and breaking at the strain relief. This has worked for 2 months now. I would have tried the other 5v adapter without the dingle berry but was unsure if the plug was correct for my unit. You do not seem to have much choice with this one. I think this is good as it gets.

This thing works well, shipping was fast and reasonable rate with great price to boot. After 2-3 months no problems, only small thing to worry about is the gondola or large rubber circular piece about 2-3 inches above the actual plug itself, this tends to be heavy and hang down pulling or stretching the electric cord where it enters the AC plug. I put a piece of Styrofoam around the rubber gondola and taped it up with black tape to keep it working for several years otherwise it may eventually pull out or short out the wire entering the AC plug. Who knows then again it may not but my past experience with other AC outlets has taught me otherwise, so just a heads up, otherwise works perfect.

The sirius cord that I got from Amazon was just like the org. one that came with my xm !! It was delevered in the time frame that Amazon said it would be!! I looked for this cord at several places including Sirius, I was on the phone with sirius for a long time trying to find the cord, only to tell me that they were out!! It took me about five minutes on Amazon to find and place my order!! I will order again when I need something !!!

This is the second power adapter dead right out of the box. Unfortunately, I destroyed the packaging thinking the first failure was a fluke. I ended up buying a Radioshack 12/5v adapter and splicing on the custom end.
I would absolutely not recommend buying this product.

This cord arrived in ONE day instead of two. The service was very fast and efficient... and I will definitely buy again. My last cord got snagged in the truck, so I contacted Sirius XM by telephone and asked how much a replacement cord would cost. They said it would cost $12.00 for a REFURBISHED replacement plus $10.00 in shipping. I told them heck no. I've been a customer for YEARS, and they act downright unfriendly and rude... while ripping their customers off! So, I ended up unsubscribing from internet radio and downgrading to basic. Anyways, I look on here and was happy to find this ... with free shipping through my prime membership! I am so happy and it works wonderful! Lets just hope this one doesn't snag too.
