I was kinda wary to get this b/c it's not official apple product and should I let just some "other" brand come near my sweet macbook? Well, at less than half the price of an Apple battery - I gave it a try - and it's SUPER. I love it; it gets over 5 hours on a single charge. I've only been using it for about 2 months, but so far so GREAT. I would definitely recommend this product as an alternative to a licensed apple battery.....any day.

Don't waste your money on this battery, spend a few extra bucks and get the actual Apple replacement battery. I bought this battery thinking I was saving a few bucks. Everything was fine initially until I hooked up some external hard drives that get there power from the firewire port on the computer. I've never had an issue before with my old apple battery and external hard drives, I had the original battery for bout 3.5 years. When I would hook up the firewire hd's to the computer without the computer being plugged up to the wall the computer would shut off and when it came back on the computer would not register the battery as working. The company did resend me a new battery after this happened once but not after the 2nd time. So if you dont have to hook up any external hard drives or other devices that may need to get power from the computer this may be a good purchase for you.

I bought this battery because of the price compaired to the Apple branded battery.
It seems to work fine, and the performance doesn't seem to be any different than my Apple battery was when it was new.
I haven't had it long, and don't have many cycles on it, but so far so good.
Where this is clearly not an Apple product is that it doesn't quite match up with the computer... The lines are a little off, the color of the metal is slightly different, and the color of the LED power lights are orange instead of green like the Apple battery was.
No major cimplaints, time will tell though.

After going through three Apple brand batteries for my 17" macbook pro over the course of four years I decided to give this aftermarket brand a shot. It was a third the price and after using it for several weeks I can attest that it's been great. As good as the Apple batteries.

I read the reviews of the various 3rd party MBP batteries, and for some reason thought this one would be better. As others have said, fit and finish is a little bit off, but not horrible. The bigger problem is that it doesn't seem to hold a charge like an Apple branded battery,
For the money, I'm not sorry I bought this battery, but every day, when I have to rush to plug my MBP back in well before expected (1-2 hours?), I'm reminded this battery was less than expected.
