Use with confidence !! Mar 13, 2011

This reader functions flawlessly, I use it with Torque Android App on Evo 4g . It pairs right up functions with the program as promised, no glitches or issues at all. A huge plus is the 6 ft cable, you can connect and stow comfortably, without interfering with any normal driver actions. Two of my vehicles obd2 ports are located in an area where if the device plugged in directly, like many do, I fear it would be broken or at least jarred loose. You can find them cheaper than this one but I have read many horror stories regarding the lower price Chinese made devices. This one is endorsed by 3 of the more popular Android Apps and is US made so I am willing to pay for the surety of operation.

Well worth the extra 50$ from the Chinese crap ones. This actually does as it says. The only issue I have is the OBDII cable is like 4 feet long. Good for my truck though because they put the OBDII connection right above the gas pedal so it's nice to move the box away.

What can I say, it works well! May 20, 2011
By S. Baker I use this on my Honda S2000 w/Supercharger and Droid phone along with the Torque app. I really wanted this to have an OBD2 reader so I can read and diagnose fault codes and keep an eye on intake air temps.
This is considered the "premium" Bluetooth OBD2 reader, and I think that is well-deserved. There is an on/off switch, and a long cord, so you could semi-permanently mount it.
It should be able to read pretty much anything an OBD2 reader can read, though that will depend on your car.
The setup was painless...it just paired right up, and the data stream is consistent.

Works great but ... Nov 21, 2011
By r0mmi I bought this device 4 days ago from PLX Devices and overall I'm satisfied. Shipping was fast and I had no problems connecting it to my Nexus S. It linked easily and works fine with Torque. Great combo... BUT this thing in box was a used one! It had fingerprints and scratches all over it. I can understand people are sending perfectly working stuff back to seller but if looks like an old then it should be sold as an old one. That's my only disappointment so far and I'm continuing to use it.

Great for Gearheads! Sep 04, 2011
By Forethought I was one of those folks who tried to save a few bucks by purchasing one of the cheap Bluetooth OBD scanners from ebay. Well, I got exactly what I paid for - a poorly constructed, slow scanner that only intermittently connected to my Droid X running Torque Pro software.
The PLX Devices Kiwi Bluetooth costs about twice is much, but it saves far more in reduced frustration and a very fast update rate. According to the manufacturer, the Kiwi updates at 10ms intervals and the fast refresh rate, along with Bluetooth 2.0, means that the data display is as close to real time as you're likely to get without spending a LOT more.
I had no problem connecting the device and both the Droid X and Torque Pro software recognized the device immediately. The on/off switch is very handy when you're logging a trip with the device. Just switch it off when you leave the car and flip it back on when your return to the vehicle. Make sure if you choose to leave it connected that you DO flip the switch; the OBD connector is powered at all times and I imagine the Kiwi will drain the vehicle battery if it's left 'on' for an extended period of time.
And while I'm at it, a shout-out for Torque Pro, too - it's the best of the Android OBD software by FAR and a real bargain at $4.95.
