Sadly, this happens to be a case of poor shipping management, or just poor choice on my part to save a buck. Sure, the item arrived swiftly and secure. I should have paid attention to the screaming voice upon reading the product title "Fuji NP-40 Two Pacl " (note the mis-spelled "Pack")...
I was astonished when I opened the packs the batteries come in and discovered.... Two completely different batteries. Neither one of them a 3.7v 800mah "-T+" configured contacts NP-40. One was a "similar sized" 3.6v 600mah "+T -" (reversed contacts) FUNP-45. The other was a battery twice as thick, labeled NP40, but is actually a 3.7v 1600mah "-T+" NP-41E extended-life. Too bad the NP-41E wont quite fit in the camera without serious modifications....
Note that neither one of these batteries look anything like the ones depicted in the photo of the product. The product's photos are indeed of an NP-40 "-T+" 800mah 3.7v battery. However, this is not what you get.
For the $10US, I suppose there will not be any response nor resolution of this gross mistake. However, at least I can try to warn others who are looking at this item.
