5Long Life Battery  Feb 17, 2011

This battery lasted over 25 years before I had to replace it. The standard line of ever-ready and duracell are crap. Not this one, built not to leak. Use in Simpson VOM meter.

Great batteries. I use them for Rowenta table lighter. Works very well. They last for years.

I was told by Radio shack that this battery did not exist. Found it in a few moments on Amazon. The price was very fair. Delivery and shipment was timely and I am very satisfied

5Vintage Battery  Apr 16, 2011
By Skyhawk
Years ago these batteries were used in portable tube radios. They also had application in camera flash.

I had built a metal detector from popular mechanics in the sixties. It was to take a nine volt battery. It wouldn't work. I never found out why, everything was just the way it should be. I had one of these batteries laying around, and for forgotten reasons hooked this battery up to the circuit. Wow It worked. Put the nine volt back in, and couldn't get it to work. So I built a nine volt metal detector that runs on 22 1\2 volts. I pulled it out recently and wondered if I could get a battery for it. A lot of the batteries back then aren't available anymore. I was happy to find one on Amazon. Im very glad they are still made.

Need a 22 1/2 volt battery? This is the one.
