Holds a charge for about 3.5 hours on a dell inspiron 8500. Smart Parts has great customer service and fast shipping.

Got this from Northparts. Items was shipped fast but this is NOT a DELL brand battery. It is a battery for Dell laptops mentioned. The first two weeks the battery power was ~3 hours and now I am lucky if I can get a good full 2 hours on it. I suspect this battery will not last me 6 months before it is useless.

I've had this battery for about a month now. it is now no longer showing 100% charge. The best it can do is get to 97%. The battery life seems shorter than the original equipment from Dell as well. I do not know if this is due to poor manufacturing from this particular supplier or just the realities of getting replacement batteries. Good luck.
