I have four black and decker 18V batteries and had two of the cheap plastic chargers that came with them. This double charger looked like a good way to keep all my batteries charged. I noted in a previous review the lack of charge indicator. I have been "checking" the charge with my original cheap plastic one. These NEVER charge as fully. At first I thought it might not be registering properly, but the tools don't perform as well if charged with the dual charger.
I would not recommend this product and wish I had more of the original chargers.

I ordered this product with the hopes of being able to charge two batteries at once. Well I sent the first one back and the second one was equally disappointing. I blame the manufacturer for that. I eventually ordered a single charger and now I have two single chargers that are doing what I had hoped to do in the first place. I recommend that if you want to charge two batteries at once that you order the single chargers.

This is better then the cheap black single charger that comes with most of the tools. The unit does charge easily and quickly and feels somewhat solid. The biggest issue I have with this unit is that it isn't easy to know what it is doing. What I mean by this is there is a single light that indicates it is charging. The light never goes off...not in one hour, one day or one week. The unit continues to charge. I would really like a timer or a light that indicates the charge is complete.
Other then the one minor issue a good unit that is worth the cost.

This charge will not charge the batteries past two lights on the original charger. Therefore the weedeater is not very powerful.

It may take a bit longer for 2 batteries to charge simultaneously, one battery at a time will charge faster. But, its just as good as I my single chargers. It works! and that's the important thing about it.
