At first, thought couldn't replace the pwr supply, as there is a "collar" on the plug as part of the wall holder. Miracle: tap on the old plug from the business end and it pops out...new one fits in snug. As others have said, there's no red (charging)/green (charged) light...but figure it's smart enough to not overcharge. In the end, also had to replace the battery...got that locally...but still cheaper, and known quality beats unknown any day...

The description said this transformer replaced the one I had for my Black & Decker Grass Hog. It didn't. It won't charge my trimmer. I bought a new battery this summer so I know it isn't the problem

I had a bad wire on my original transformer and went to Home Depot to get a replacement. Much to my surprise they do not carry the one I needed although they still sell the weed wacker it goes to. So to the internet I go, armed with the correct part numbers, low and behold AMAZON comes to the rescue again. This new transformer is the exact replacement for the old one. Now once again I can happily wack all the weeds I want, until the battery runs down the out comes my new trusty AMAZON transformer and I'm back in business again. Oh by the way the new one works just fine.

This product stated on the description that it had a green indicator light which is does not. It would be nice to know when it is fully charged. This charges my grass trimmer just fine. I would recommend this to a friend.

This transformer cost about a third of the entire unit!! I was scared into thinking only a B&D would work. The battery on my unit was bad so I paid a ton of money for nothing. Bought a Craftsman to replace B&D.
