 Replacement ni-cad battery for Ryobi drill Aug 30, 2007

I bought two of these for my Ryobi drill as direct replacements for the original Ryobi 1400671 batteries. The new batteries have a higher current amp-hour rating than the originals and work and fit perfectly. They are a great replacement and much cheaper than getting them from Ryobi.

This item looks identical the original battery (except it has orange release tabs instead of Grey). That being said the fit is a little different. The battery releases easily from the cordless drill but is very difficult to release from the flashlight. I bought two of these batteries and can't get either of them to release easily. To get it out I have to push in the tabs and twist and pull the battery. Not a big deal. Overall the initial charge worked great. It remains to be seen if the battery will sustain its charges but so far so good.
