Works great in FIOS UPS Apr 20, 2011
By Dave Spadea I've had this installed in my Verizon FIOS UPS for a while now, and it's working great. It's a perfect dimension match for the original battery, so no trouble getting the cover back on or anything like that.
Just make sure you keep the leads (short connector wires) when you remove the original battery. They detach at both ends -- from the UPS end and from the battery terminals -- so don't make the mistake of throwing them away. You don't get new ones with the battery.
I say that because I had a devil of a time getting them to let go of the battery terminals. It'd be easy to make the mistake of thinking they're permanently attached. Turns out there's a catch on the inside of the positive (red) terminal that you can't get to directly. You just have to grab it with a pair of pliers or small vice grips, being careful not to crush it, and move it "the right way." It'll come free after a bit of persuasion. I wish I could tell you exactly which way to move it to free it, but honestly, I just moved it left/right/up/down until it detached. If someone else knows an actual method, please enlighten me.

Works just fine as replacement for FIOS battery May 16, 2011
By Walking Man I had some misgivings about purchasing a new battery for my FIOS system from anyone other than Verizon. However, the cost difference made me go ahead, and I'm happy I did. It works just fine, and after about 2 months' use, I can definitely recommend it. Installation is a snap; the hardest part was detaching the terminals from the original (failed) battery that came with the Verizon system. The force-fit connection of the terminals took considerable effort to pull apart. But otherwise the replacement process was just a few seconds' work.
Keep in mind that the FIOS system uses lead-acid batteries, which can not just be thrown in the trash in most areas. The old battery needs to be recycled responsibly, which probably involves taking it to a recycling center, although my car mechanic agreed to include mine with the lead-acid car batteries he recycles.

Worth the money Apr 22, 2011
By Maria This was exactly what I ordered. I was going to buy this through Verizon and they said it was $50 plus shipping. I checked online for a cheaper one and Amazon had it for 1/2 the price which included shipping. I would purchase this again through Amazon.

Battery for a Verizon box Apr 06, 2011
By Richard Winkel I bought this as a replacement for my Verizon box. The battery was easy to install and it made the beeping stop, so I assume it worked just fine. When I bought it I wasn't sure it was the correct replacement for the Verizon unit, so I'm glad that it was.

FiOS Replacement Battery Jan 23, 2012
By 9 Lives Works fine and fits for Verizon FiOS. Easy to install. Arrived on-time and in good shape in USPS bubble wrap envelope. Like others, my only complaint is with Verizon when I found out that although I didn't own the equipment I was responsible for maintaining this key component for phone service in the event of power failure.
