 Clamping makes a huge difference Jun 23, 2011

I was about to buy the Cole's heavy duty booster cable until I read one of the reviewers mention that its clamping jaws do NOT close enough for use with smaller batteries (such as motorcycle batteries).
So I bought this one from AAA instead. I am glad to say the clamps do close tightly (unlike the Cole's which leave a small gap in between). The quality is just as good as the other more expensive ones.
Very satisfied with this AAA booster cable.

Long and heavy guage wire. Clamps look and feel sturdy, though we havent had to use em yet. Confident these will last as long as we need them to.
The case is handy, but seems a bit thin and not sure if we'll be able to get the cables back in without tearing the fabric or zipper after actual use.
Edit 10/18/11:
The case does require some effort to fit the cables back into (new they are bundled the same size as the case), so now using a reusable type grocery bag stuffed under the back seat.

This cable is well made with very thick rubber skin. It charged my dead batteries in seconds. Well worth the money. I'd say this is a high end jumper cable. I'm ready to help anybody who suffers a battery death at the parking lot.

this is a nice set of cables. very bulky and quality construction. nice carry case too. i'm pretty sure this is the last set of these i will ever buy.
