Don't call the Alarm Co. Do IT Yourself Oct 11, 2009

I was very satisfied to find this batterry available online. I called my alarm co because the sensor was continually beeping with the low batt alert. They offered to send a repair person out "for free", but said the batterry would cost $50.00!!!! I'm so glad I found an alternative. The batterry was very easy to install & only took about 5 minutes. Truely pleased.

I think I paid about a third of what it would have cost me in a local store for this battery, and about a quarter of what my alarm company wanted, not including their "service" charge. Fix it yourself, get this battery.

Great battery. It arrived on time and it was easy to replace. However, one of the wires on the back of the Simon XT was dislodged during replacement and I had to have the local alarm company come out and assist in getting it back on (I didn't see where the wire was connected) So word to the warning, take a photo of the wire placement before removing the battery.

When my alarm system started beeping with a low system battery message, i googled what it meant and found the battery has to be replaced. Searched in amazon and and found this. It is OEM battery at a very good price. When i received it, i opened the GE simons key pad unit, took out the old battery, and compared it with this one. Looked the same. I switched the batteries and closed the unit and it is working fine now. As usual, good price and fast shipping.
