Okay but? Sep 04, 2011
By experienced carpenter I bought two of these batteries in January of this year. Although they are half the price, they seem to last half as long as an original Makita battery. I thought I would try these, (recent purchase)because they were sold under a different name as the ones I bought in Jan. Upon receiving my recent purchase from Amazon, I see that they are exactly the same as the ones I bought in Jan. From EBay. I don,t beleive I will be purchasing any more of these batteries in the future. About a month ago I was using my driver and bottom of the battery pack just came loose and fell out and hit the concrete. I put the battery back together and it still worked, but I had to glue the two battery pieces together. I can use it in a pinch but it doesn't stay locked in drill very well. This episode led me to order two more batteries from Amazon. When new, these batteries work well with lots of power, but after about two hours of intermintent use they run out of gas. The original Makita batteries would last half the day and more before significant drop in power. In my opinion, the better value would be an original Makita 1234 battery.

2 battery pack for 12 volt Makita tools from Amazon Nov 12, 2011
By David M. Douglas After market (red) replacement batteries. Rated higher power than OEM batteries. I have had no problems of any kind with them. They fit in the tools well and last a long time as I had hoped for. As with all Ni-MH batteries (especially when they get older) you should recharge them before they go totally dead.
one of two bought works, other is junk Dec 19, 2011
By boxer lover Got these two batteries to replace the Makita originals that lasted three years, one of these was junk after three months! Spend a little more and get the real thing!
