Standard battery for home alarm systems Jan 30, 2008

This is the heavy, about 5 inch square, battery for some home alarm systems. Be sure you need "12V 4 Amp" - check the details on your dead battery.

Battery for alarm system Apr 20, 2011
By Earl Ritch My alarm said "hey dude, I'm broke, fix me". Looked for exact part. Found exact part on Amazon.com. Ummmmmm, great price. Beat the heck out of Radio Hut. Ordered part (battery for the alarm system). Paid by plastic. Waited. Shipped next morning. Waited. Arrived very quick. Installed unit. Holy smoke kemosabay. Ummmmmmm, work good. Me like that. Me use Amazon more often now. Good job.

Save a lot of money on Alarm System batteries Apr 07, 2012
By Dale English Make sure the battery in your security system is of the same type and for the $8 (eight!) or so bucks that this battery costs you save the service fee and inflated cost of having your security company come and do the work. BE AWARE!!: that you need to call your monitoring station and have them put your system in "TEST" mode so the police or fire dept. are not called when you swap batteries!! Seriously, you can not just open your systems panel unless you are SURE yu don't have a "Tamper Switch" in the panel that will trip the alarm if you open it! Takes only a few minutes to do and saves a LOT of money!
Worth every penny paid and far more! Great Deal!

Great replacement Nov 09, 2011
By F. Nasery I bought this to replace the battery in my parents alarm system. Plugged it right in and it worked wonderfully. May take a while to charge, but it has been working great. I saw reviews here about people complaining about the Amp Hour rating 4A/h vs 5. I don't believe they understand the rating. It is for how long the battery will run, not how much current it will put out. Anyhow, having more amp hours means the battery will last longer when the power goes out. Hope this helps. By the way, great price!
